The Story Behind The Shot
Alexandra is an architecture student in Perm, Russia. It’s the last city in Europe before the Ural Mountains. It was the most eastern place in Europe that we photographed, 1150 km northeast of Moscow. I’d never heard about Perm before but I’ve discovered what a great city it is with a lot of cosmopolitan thinking and fashionable students. When I asked them if they consider themselves European or asian, of course it was crystal clear to them that they’re European, as Asia starts on the other side of the Ural Mountains.
